Objective
Build one platform that runs an Australian clean-energy retailer’s entire operation — lead capture, solar and HVAC design, quoting, e-signed contracts, field installation, inventory and government rebate lodgement — replacing a patchwork of spreadsheets, paper job packs and disconnected portals.
Key challenges
- 01Rebate rules are unforgiving — STC, VEEC, Solar Victoria and ESV each carry their own eligibility maths, deeming periods and registry formats, and one wrong field gets a claim rejected weeks after the install.
- 02Field work was paper-based — serial numbers, compliance photos and customer sign-off were captured on paper at site, then re-keyed in the office days later, sometimes never.
- 03The quote and the contract disagreed — pricing, energy yield and rebate figures were recalculated in several places, so the number on screen did not always match the customer’s PDF.
- 04Nothing was joined up — sales, design, procurement, installers, drivers, finance and compliance each worked in separate tools, with no shared view of a single job.

Delivered a React Native field app — 106 screens for installers, dispatchers and drivers, with OCR serial capture, geo-tagged compliance photos and on-site customer signature.

Wired straight into the registries
Wired the platform straight into the registries — CER REC Registry, Solar Victoria, the Victorian VEU scheme and EnergySafe Victoria — so certificates lodge from the same record the installer completed.

Made every energy and money figure server-authoritative — one engine feeds the design screen, the PDF and the invoice, so they cannot drift apart.
