Objective
Establish a single point of data entry for project management at DAMAC by making PMIS the authoritative source system, integrated cleanly with a highly configurable Oracle Fusion Applications environment that left limited room for customization. Bridge a modern cloud Fusion Applications estate with PMIS without forcing costly workarounds on either side.
Key challenges
- 01Keeping PMIS and Fusion Applications in sync was an ongoing struggle, with drift regularly appearing between the two systems.
- 02High transaction volumes and real-time processing on Fusion Applications put sustained pressure on overall system performance and scalability.
- 03Limited room for customization in Fusion required a flexible integration approach without costly workarounds.
- 04Needed a reliable, scalable integration solution to support growing project operations across business units and regions.
Our solution
-
01
Integration layer
Built on Oracle Fusion Middleware
Built the integration layer on Oracle Fusion Middleware, using Java and APIs to keep data moving reliably between PMIS and Fusion Applications.
-
02
Consolidation
Retired redundant applications
Used the integration effort to identify and retire redundant legacy applications, consolidating functionality and data onto fewer, better-connected systems.
-
03
Data sync
Real-time synchronization
Enabled real-time data synchronization to maintain consistency and eliminate manual re-keying.
-
04
Foundation
Future-ready architecture
Ensured a scalable and future-ready architecture to support DAMAC’s growing project portfolio.
